Letter: W
Letter W Description
Wedges Are similar in terms of shape and time development to the symmetrical triangle. The most noticeable feature of the wedge formation is it has a slant which is usually against the prevailing trend. Therefore, falling wedges are considered bullish and rising wedges are considered bearish. Wedges usually occur near the end of a trend or near the 5th wave of Elliott Wave formation before breaking. Volume should decrease during the formation of the wedge, much like the flag or pennant.
Whipsaw Occurs when the technique that a trades is using produces many buy and sell signals in a small price range that do not follow through in the predicted direction. Whipsaw trades cause the trader to lose money.
Writer An individual who sells an option.
Working A broker is attempting to execute an order.
